Thank you for expressing your concern about the work done at 1 Southfield Drive. Per
our conversation, it was the City's understanding that you were concerned that the
property owners at 1 Southfield (Routt) made illegal improvements to the horse access
paths and graded the corral area on their property.
On September 22, 2007 I spoke to Mrs. Routt, who informed me that no grading was
done on the property. On September 24, I visited the property and found that no zoning
violations occurred on this property. They spread road base on the old horse access paths
and raised the paths in few spots by not more than 8-10 inches, which does not constitute
grading. I also observed no changes to their corral areas.
If you have additional concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (310) 377-1521. I
can schedule another visit to the property with you and Mrs. Routt to answer your
questions.

Thank you for your correspondence dated February 8, 2001 regarding the recent
damage to the overhead utility lines servicing your property. We appreciate your kind
words relating to our involvement in coordinating the repairs.
I have taken the liberty of copying your correspondence to Community Association
Manager Peggy Minor. The Community Association is responsible for issuing road use
permits. As we discussed on the telephone, you may wish to communicate the
information you have regarding the alleged tree trimming service company to Edison
Company officials so that they may recoup their costs for completing the repairs on
your property from the responsible party. Toward that end, I have requested that Mr.
Scott Gobble of the Edison Company contact you.
Should you wish to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to call. Thank you for
your cooperation.
Sincerely,

Dear Sirs:
I have a complaint.
The easement/horsepath in front of the corral at the Southwest corner of Crest
and Southfield is being used as a dumping ground for horse manure by
someone. The concentration of manure is much more than you would expect
due to multiple random events.
For those of us that walk or jog by this spot it is very noticeable. Is this a
violation of an ordinance or health code? What can be done about this?
Please investigate this. Please let me know if there is a form I have to fill out
or anything else I have to do to resolve this disgusting situation.
Respectfully yours,
Arthur Diamond
