Dear Mr. Rodriguez:
We received your summary of proposed remedial repair work for the subject;
property and are prepared to approve those plans. The plans are also subject to
approval by the Rolling Hills Community Association before they can be submitted
to. the County to obtain permits.
We understand that no grading to accomplish this project will be required. But, you
should note that according to Section 17.46 (Site Plan Review) any grading that
requires a grading permit requires discretionary Site Plan Review by the Planning
Commission. According to Section 15.04.120, a County grading permit is required
for a cut or fill or combination thereof of more than 3 feet and more than 2,000
square feet in area,
Two sets of calculations and plans are required for submittal to the County and must
be stamped and signed by the Rolling Hills Community Association and the City of
Rolling Hills before you can submit them to the Los Angeles County Building &
Safety Division, Lomita Office for review.

Dear Ms. Unger:
Per your request we are providing a brief summary of the proposed repair work for the residence
at the above referencedaddress. A structural inspection was performed by John O. Schuricht from
our office and the following repair recommendations were given:
1. Underpin south side of residence foundation with new 18"x24" grade beams and 30" diameter
piles at approximately 16' center to center. There will be a total of eleven piles.
2. Existing deck located in the rear yard of the property will be replaced.
3. Existing exterior stairs in the rear yard will be replaced with new reinforced concrete stairs.
4. Existing pool will be replace with new reinforced foundation and walls.
5. New six inch drain lines will be installed to improve drainage condition.
