We have attached a copy of the letter from Mr. Scott Gobble, Region Manager, for your records. Feel free to call me at (310) 377-1521 if you have any questions regarding this matter. This visit was in response to a call from your assistant Lola informing us of a remodel at the home of Ms. Elaine Nelson located 36 Porteguese Bend Road and the necessity of Southern California Edison (SCE) obtaining the proper easements. Southern California Edison currently has a utility pole on Mr. Husnak's property that is approximately 50 feet from his property line. Mr. Husnak will agree to have the Nelson's trench a new underground service to this pole, however he will not grant a written easement on his own property. Before SCE can provide customers with electric service, we must first ensure the proper easements are obtained. The only other alternative for serving the Nelsons property underground, would be to trench in an entirely new direction at a cost of well over $10,000. Therefore we recommend allowing the Nelson's overhead service to remain. If you have any further questions, please call. Sincerely Scott E. Gobble Region Manager Public Affairs Department SG:jw P. O.
