NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills will
hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, in the City Hall
Administration Building, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose of
receiving public input regarding the following Zoning Case:
ZONING CASE NO. 897. Request for a Site Plan Review for the construction of an
800 square foot addition to an existing 2,450 square foot single-family residence,
additional walls over 3 feet in height, a pool, and other miscellaneous structures,
and grading. A Conditional Use Permit for a pool house, and a Variance to locate
the pool and pool house in the front yard, and to exceed maximum disturbance on
the lot. It is also proposed that the driveway be widened to 20 feet from an existing
16 feet, at 2 Hillside Lane, (Lot 60-RH), Rolling Hills, CA (Elkin).
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt (Class 3) pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15303 (New
construction of small structures) as it proposes a single-family residence.
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapters 17.38 - Variances
and 17.46 - Site Plan Review and 17.42 Conditional Use Permit.
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
meeting at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend
Road, Rolling Hills. We welcome your input. You may provide your comments in
writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the meeting and
address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may
be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public
hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the
