For Sherman Property @ 33 Crest Road Eastity of I -tolling Hills
OVERVIEW #2 By —
October 28, 2014
The Sherman house at 33 Crest Road East was built in 1977 —16 years prior to the Fournier's purchasing
their property at 30 Crest Road East in 1993 — which is why the majority of the trees under discussion
were either not in existence or very small and just maturing.
Total number of trees plotted on the survey map: 121 trees + hedge
Note: This excludes the fruit trees and other vegetation in the lower section of the Sherman
property which were not part of the survey tree count as the Shermans maintain these trees at a low
height to maximize their own ocean view. There are also additional volunteer trees — particularly in the
western RHCA easement — which were not plotted individually on the survey map due to time
constraints.
EASEMENT TREES: 52 total trees
Trees located in RHCA easements: 52 trees out of 121 trees located in easements
• Request no action for 34 trees even though there should be no vegetation in easements
13 pine trees in Eastern easement near Eckberg property:
• No action taken on any of the 13 pine trees
40 trees in Western easement near Stevens' property:
• 8 remove (3 maturing upon Fournier purchase of home in 1993; 5 not in existence)
• 11 Trim/Crown Reduction (recall only 3 in existence in 1993)
• No action taken on other 21 trees in West side
INNER PROPERTY TREES: 67 Total trees + Front Hedge
Lace: 7 mature Canary Pines (maturing in 1993) refer to photo comparison
Remove: 1 dead Eucalyptus & 1 maturing Black Pine (latter tree didn't exist in 1993) = 2 Total
Crown Reduction/Trim for 38 trees (majority were not in existence/in view line in 1993)
No Action taken for remaining 20 trees (few existed in 1993)
SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION:
The 8 easement trees tagged for removal mostly not on slope — either in drainage ditch or in flat areas
