NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF A FIELD TRIP
PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will hold a public
hearing and conduct a field visit on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 7:30 a.m., to view a
silhouette for a proposed project at 2 Hillside Lane in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 897-MODIFICATION. Request to modify a previously
approved project, which consisted of approval of a 705 sq.ft. recreation room,
grading for a new building pad, for walls over 3 feet in height, which will not
average out to 2.5' in height, for a pool, trellis, for structures to be located in the
front yard area of the lot, to exceed the maximum permitted disturbance of the
lot, to widen the driveway and to alter the existing guest house for agricultural
uses. The modification entails a Conditional Use Permit to enlarge the recreation
room to 800 square feet and to construct a pool slide in Zoning Case No. 897-
Modification at 2 Hillside Lane, (Lot 60-RH), Rolling Hills, CA (Elkin). No other
changes to the previously approved project are proposed. The project has been
determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Guidelines, Section 15303.
Any person is welcome to review the subject applications and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meetings or come
to the meetings and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this application in court, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public
hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
Following the field trip the Planning Commission will discuss this project at their
regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in
the City Hall Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA
