(LOT 77-RH) Dear Mr. and Mrs. Cardenas, I am writing in follow-up to a recent phone call to you from the City Planning Director, Yolanta Schwartz. The City has received a report that horse manure is being stored on your property, in a way that has resulted in the breeding of flies and obnoxious odors. Please be aware that, per City Municipal Code Section 6.40.060 manure from animals kept on the property must be either removed on a daily basis or on a weekly basis if stored in appropriate bins or containers that prevent such nuisances (see code excerpt attached). In addition, Chapter 8.32 STORM WATER RUNOFF POLLUTION CONTROL of the Municipal Code prohibits discharging of any material, which would contribute to the pollution of storm drain systems. Please contact the undersigned and advise as to a time and day when City staff can visit your property to view the conditions related to this matter. Your assistance and cooperation is greatly appreciated. To arrange the site visit and/or you have any questions or concerns in advance please feel free to call Yolanta or me at (310) 377-1521.
