As you certainly know, the city of Rolling Hills requests that any project
concerning remodeling or upgrading the electrical panel puts the knew wiring
underground. You may have observed for the last two weeks that the surveyors were on
the property to determine the exact location of the property line. This was done to help
us to locate Edison's electrical poles. The study reveals that the pole is in your easement.
In order to proceed with the completion of the roof, with the addition of extra
breakers for the heating system and other remodeling, it is essential that you give Edison
access to their pole. Edison told us that they have the right of way for what is above the
ground but not on the ground surface. Edison requires a 30-inch trench to be opened
from our electrical panel under our driveway into both easements to be able to reach the
post for the connection of the electricity. When the project gets under way we will let
you know so that you can see the work that will be done on your side. The trench on
your side would be about 8.7 feet long and will be refilled as soon as Edison completes
its work.
We would greatly appreciate your kindness to allow Edison to access the pole by
way of your easement. Without your permission it will not be possible to complete these
projects and have the construction up to code according to the City of Rolling Hills. As
soon as you give a positive answer to the Edison Company they will send you a form that
needs to be signed and recorded. I have included the name and phone number of the
person to contact to get the necessary form.

Our best regards to you and your family and congratulations again on the
successful training and graduation of your dog. He will be a great asset to the community
and to his new owner.
