In late August the City became aware that work on a "keystone concrete unit wall" had begun on a
sloped area towards the rear of 35 Saddleback to create a garden. It is my understanding that this
project is currently "on hold".
The work that has been started and/or contemplated may or may not require planning approvals and
permits from the City. Walls, depending on their location, height and design, may require City
approval and/or a building permit. The overall project may also be considered "lot disturbance" or
"grading" which is subject to zoning regulations.
Please submit a plan showing what you intend to construct no later than September 30. Please bring
the plan to the City Hall Monday through Thursday any time between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. You can
