SUBJECT: ZONING CASE NO. 702. Site Plan Review for grading to create a play area and a
Variance to exceed the maximum permitted disturbed area at an existing single family
residence at 15 Wideloop Road. (Lot 4A-EF), Rolling Hills, CA.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Zane:
This letter shall serve to notify you that the Planning Commission adopted a resolution on
May 17, 2005, granting your request in Zoning Case No. 702. That action, accompanied by
the record of the proceedings before the Commission will be reported to the City Council on
May 23, 2005. You or your representative must be present at the meeting to answer any
questions the Council may have.
The decision shall become effective thirty days after the adoption of the Planning
Commission's resolution unless an appeal has been filed or the City Council takes
jurisdiction of the case within that thirty (30) day appeal period. (Chapter 17.54 of the
Rolling Hills Municipal Code). Should there be an appeal, the Commission's decision will
be stayed until the Council completes its proceedings in accordance with the provisions of
the Municipal Code.
The City Council meeting will be held on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. in the City
Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. A staff report will be mailed
to you on Friday May 20, 2005.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Zane:
This letter shall serve to notify you that the Planning Commission voted at their regular
meeting on April 19, 2005 to direct staff to prepare a resolution to approve your revised
request. The Planning Commission will review and consider the draft resolution, together
with conditions of approval, at an upcoming meeting on May 17, 2005 and make its final
decision on your application at that meeting.
The findings and conditions of approval of the draft resolution will be forwarded to you
before the next meeting. Please review the Resolution, when you receive it.

application is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17, 2005. That action, accompanied by the
record of the proceedings before the Commission, is tentatively scheduled to be placed as
a report item on the City Council's agenda at the Council's regular meeting on Monday, May
23, 2005.

SUBJECT: ZONING CASE NO. 702. Site Plan Review and Variance for grading to create a
play area.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Zane:
The Planning Commission scheduled a field trip to your property to view a silhouette of the
proposed project on Tuesday. March 15, 2005.
The Planning Commission will visit another property before coming to see your project. The field
trip public hearing will begin at 4:00 P.M. at the other property. It is estimated that the
Commission will come to your property around 4:30 P.M. The owner and/or representative must
be present to answer any questions regarding the proposal.
The site must be prepared according to the enclosed Silhouette Construction Guidelines and the
following requirements:
A. A full-size ground silhouette in conformance with the
attached guidelines must be prepared for the project
showing the footprints;
B. Stake the side and rear property lines and side and
rear setback lines in the area of the project;
C. Indicate (ie with a ribbon), which trees, shrubs and
other vegetation will be removed as a result of this
project;
H. Delineate the extent of the area to be disturbed, the
toe of the slope and the cut and fill areas;
Your neighbors within 1000-foot radius will be notified of this field trip.
After the field trip, the next meeting of the Planning Commission will take place on Tuesday.
March 15. 2005, at 6:30 P.M. at City Hall, at which time the Commission will further discuss and
deliberate your proposal.
