PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission will conduct a field visit on
TUESDAY, March 16, 2010 at approximately 8:15 a.m. to view a proposed project at 5
Wagon Lane in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 774-REVISED. Mr. and Mrs. John Tu, 5 Wagon Lane, (Lot 110-4-RH).
Site Plan Review for grading for the construction of a detached garage, and Conditional Use
Permits (CUPs) to construct an 1,850 square foot detached garage and a second driveway
approach to the new garage on a lot developed with a single family residence. Project has
been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
The Planning Commission schedule is to visit another property starting at 7:30 a.m, and
then proceed to view this project.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on November 17,
2009 and visited the site on December 15, 2009, at which time the Commissioners heard a
detailed presentation of the proposal. At the December 15 field trip the Planning
Commission recommended that the applicant revise their project.
The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the members of the Planning Commission and
interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of the proposed project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip and provide public testimony. We urge you
to review the revised application and plans and minutes of the previous meetings on subject
application prior to the site visit. These and other pertinent documents are available at the
City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing
described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission
at, or prior to, the public hearing.
The Planning Commission will continue to discuss and deliberate this case at their regular meeting,
scheduled for the evening of the field trip, Tuesday, March 16, 2010, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the
City Hall Council Chambers.
