1. As previously requested, provide chemical test results (sulfate, chloride, resistivity, pH) for the on -site soils to address the presence
of chemicals deleterious to concrete and ferrous materials. The chemical test results were not provided in the latest submittal. The
chemical tests must be in accordance with Califomia Test Methods, Department of Transportation, or equivalent (aqueous solution
tests, such as EPA Tests or similar methods are not acceptable for determination of resistivity). Resistivity tests must be
performed on soils in a saturated condition.
2. If the foundations of the proposed building will be supported into bedrock, the concrete slab must be structurally tied to the
foundations supported by bedrock. Otherwise the building pad located in the cut/fill transition shall be overexcavated a minimum of
3 feet below the proposed bottom of footings (i.e. slab and foundations supported by compacted fill). Revise plans as necessary.
3. Show the following on the building plans:
a. Indicate depth and delineate limits of removal and recompaction 3 feet below foundations, as necessary.
b. Indicate/Show/Note Concrete slab structurally tied to foundations supported into bedrock, as necessary.
c. All recommended mitigation measures, as necessary.
4. Add the following notes on the building plans:
Building pads located in cut/fill transition area shall be overexcavated a minimum of 3 feet below the proposed bottom of footings.
5. The Soils Engineer of record must review the revised building plans and sign and stamp the plans in verification of his
recommendations. Original manual signature and wet stamp are required.

Good Morning,
Charles is currently out of the office, he'll be back March 7th.
While he is out we do have someone filling in for him part time, I've talked to
him to see if we can get some of easier projects out. I'm taking a look at the
applicants project this afternoon. Sometime next week will probably be the
earliest we can get something out for him.
Attached is our last review sheets.
Unfortunately the very first submittal from the applicant, had incomplete
information.
Our last review sheets went out 11/22/10.
We received the applicants latest submittal 1/24/11.
Our current back log is approximately 6-8 weeks, so we will be pushing his
through.
Hope this helps, please let me know if you need more information.
Thank you much.
