Enclosed for your information is a copy of Ordinance No. 215,
which was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting on June
22, 1987. The new ordinance sets forth the amendment to the Rolling
Hills Municipal Code pertaining to tennis courts, and repeals Urgency
Ordinance No. 51-U, which extended the moratorium on tennis courts
to July 28, 1987. Ordinance No. 215 will become effective on July
23, 1987.
Your request that an extension of time be granted for your
application for a Conditional Use Permit for a tennis court, which
was held on the Planning Comrr.ission's agenda at the May 19, 1987
meeting, will be placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting
of the Planning Commission on Tuesday, July 21, 1987 at 7:30 p.m.

conditional use permit for the construction of a tennis court
located at 68 Saddleback Road, Rolling Hills, Ca. 90274.
The reason for the extension is due to the fact that the
existing moratorium has prevented us from starting any
construction.

This letter is to serve as official notice that at the meeting
of the City Council on November 10, 1986 the Council upheld the
decision of the Planning Commission on October 21, 1986 for approval
of Conditional Use Permits for construction of a guest house and
a cabana on property owned by you, and located at 68 Saddleback
Road, subject to the condition that there be no kitchen in either
structure. A copy of the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting
is enclosed for your information.
An acceptance form, as required by Ordinance No. 207, is
also enclosed. Please complete the form, have the signature(s)
notarized, and forward the document to the Office of the County
Recorder, Room 15, 227 North Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90012,
with a check in the amount of $7.00. When the Affidavit of
Acceptance has been returned to the City, duly executed and
recorded, the Los Angeles County Department of Building and Safety
will be notified that a permit can be issued.

This letter is in reference to the C.U.P. that your commission granted to
property located at 68 Saddleback Road.
The situation on this C.U.P. is similar to the Caldwell problem in that we
have been dilligently pursuing a permit through the County, but the year is
up and we have not received a permit yet.
Part way through the permit process the owner, Kreag, was required to move
his business. This meant selling his house. The new owners, the Lams who
currently live on Chesterfield, purchased it because it had a tennis court
approval. The timetable we were hoping for was to begin developing the
site this fall.
I am respectfully requesting a continuation of the C.U.P. for an additional
one year period to enable me to obtain the necessary clearances from Los
Angeles County Building and Safety.
