Ordinance No. 215 will become effective on July 23, 1987. The situation on this C.U.P. is similar to the Caldwell problem in that we have been dilligently pursuing a permit through the County, but the year is up and we have not received a permit yet. Part way through the permit process the owner, Kreag, was required to move his business. This meant selling his house. The new owners, the Lams who currently live on Chesterfield, purchased it because it had a tennis court approval. The timetable we were hoping for was to begin developing the site this fall. I am respectfully requesting a continuation of the C.U.P. for an additional one year period to enable me to obtain the necessary clearances from Los Angeles County Building and Safety.
