NOTICE OF A FIELD TRIP OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS
The PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Rolling Hills will conduct a field
inspection on TUESDAY, MARCH 16, 2010, at 7:30 AM, to view a silhouette for a
proposed project at 46 SADDLEBACK ROAD in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 778. Mr. and Mrs. William Rehrig, 46 Saddleback Road (Lot
10-RH). Request for a Site Plan Review and Conditional Use Permit for grading of
474 cubic yards of fill and 698 cubic yards of excavation dirt from a proposed
basement; construction of an 800 square foot recreation room/pool house; a 2,560
square foot addition to the existing residence and a 1,638 square foot basement. A
717 square foot swimming pool to replace an existing swimming pool is also
proposed. Project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act, (CEQA).
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on February 23, at
which time the Planning Commission heard a detailed presentation of the proposal. The
purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the Commissioners and interested parties with
the location, topography, size and extent of the proposed project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip and provide public testimony. However,
due to time constraint during the field visit, extensive testimony and comments will be
considered at the regular Planning Commission public hearing described below. We urge
you to review the application, plans and minutes of the previous meeting on subject
application prior to the site visit. These and other pertinent documents are available at the
City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
The Planning Commission will continue to discuss and deliberate this case at their regular meeting,
which will be held on the same night as the field trip, Tuesdr i, March 16, 2010 beginning at 6:30
p.rn. in the City Hall Council Chambers

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of
the City of Rolling Hills will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on
March 16, 2010 at the City Hall Administration Building, 2
Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose of
receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 779. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weinstein, 3
Meadowlark Lane (Lot 19-RH). A request for a Site Plan
Review for grading of 2,178 cubic yards of dirt, of which 1,021
cubic yards would be from excavation of a basement and
pool, and construction of a new 3,054 square foot residence,
with 600 square foot garage and 2,106 square foot basement
and request for Variances to allow portion of the garage to
encroach into the front yard setback and to waive the require-
ment to construct or set aside an area for a future stable and
corral on a lot that is currently vacant. Project has been deter-
mined to be exempt from the Califomia Environmental Quality
Act, (CEQA).
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapter
17.46 — Site Plan Review and Chapter 17.38 — Variances.
