Hills, CA for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 718. Request for a Variance to retain an unauthorized and
nonconforming shed structure, which encroaches into the front setback at 7 Quail
Ridge Road North, Rolling Hills, CA, (Lot 108-RH), (CHILLINGWORTH).
Application required by Municipal Code, Section 17.38 - Variances and Section
17.24 - Nonconforming Uses and Strucutres
This project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to
the meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you
may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the

The PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Rolling Hills will conduct a field
visit on Tuesday, Sevtember 20, 2005 at 5:45 v.m. to view a proposed project at 7
Quail Ridge Road North in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 714. Mr. and Mrs. Chillingworth, request for a
Variance to construct a swimming pool, which would encroach into the
front setback at an existing single family residence at 7 Quail Ridge Road
North, Rolling Hills, CA.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on
August 16, 2005, at which time the Planning Commission heard a detailed
presentation of the proposal. The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the
Commissioners and interested parties with the location, topography, size and
extent of the proposed project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip and provide public testimony.
However, due to time constraint during the field visit, extensive testimony and
comments will be considered at the regular Planning Commission public hearing
described below. We urge you to review the application, plans and minutes of
the previous meeting on subject application prior to the site visit. These and
other pertinent documents are available at the City Hall Administration Building
located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
The Planning Commission will continue to discuss and deliberate this case at their
regular meeting, which will be held on the same night as the field trip, Tuesday,
September 20, 2005, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
