While the original opening was small, the hole itself was 15-20' deep and more than 10' wide so the road was closed immediately. The sinkhole has continued to grow in size and across the road. The RHCA is working with civil and geotechnical engineers to locate the cause and prepare a plan for repair. NARBONNE AVE. ANTICIPATED ROAD WORK The City of Lomita will be installing a new 8-inch water main and rehabilitating Narbonne Avenue between PCH and Palos Verdes Drive North. Work will start in late-Spring or early Summer 2024 and will last 3-4 months. Expect lane closures and delays. RHCA ASSESMENT DUES – 2ND INSTALLMENT Due on Monday, April 10, 2024 You may mail your payment or drop off your payment at the RHCA Office. If you drop off payment after office hours, you may leave your payment inside the RHCA secure lock Mail Box right outside the office. The RHCA Office will be sure to mail back your stamp paid receipt. AVOID THE WAIT, USE THE CREST GATE! The Main Gate processes 50%-60% more guests than the Crest or Eastfield gates and gets most of the large trucks and first-time visitors which also slows the entry process down creating backup traffic. Please let your guests and workers know that they may be able to gain entry quicker by using the Crest Gate. Crest has the least traffic in the morning and lines are virtually non-existent. This will relieve the congestion at the Main Gate. TRAIL CLOSURES The following trails are closed due to unsafe conditions or are impassible: Bent Springs, Georgeff Trail, Glory Trail, Lower Johns Canyon Trail & Lower Willow Trail TENTATIVE AGENDA CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROLLING HILLS ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MON DAY, APRIL 8, 2024 THIS AGENDA MAY NOT BE COMPLETE.
