PLEASE EXCUSE OUR LANDSCAPING MESS
Portions of the City Hall campus will be undergoing
landscaping removal and refresh over the next two
months in collaboration with Bennett Landscaping and
Landscape Architect Ric Dykzeul. On March 25, 2024, the
City Council approved utilizing a Cal Water turf
replacement rebate program with a focus on removing
high-water use surfaces areas and converting to
California-friendly, drought-tolerant plant materials. The
new designs are also meant to comply with Home
Hardening requirements to serve as an example to the
greater community.
ONE WEEK ONLY! GREEN WASTE COMMUNAL
BIN EVENT - AUGUST 2 - 9
The city will hold its seventh green waste communal bin
event in August. Please follow these directions to
participate in this FREE program:
• Place all green waste inside the bins.
• Do not leave any debris outside the bins.
• Piles need to be free of rocks and dirt.
• Do not dump non -green waste materials.
• Do not dump construction materials.
The four locations are as follows:
1. Quail Ridge North just north of Crest Road West.
2. On the Corner of Crest Road West and Quail Ridge
north adjacent to 1 Crest Road West.
3. On Spur Lane just West of Cinchring Road on Cal
Water’s Water Tank Property
4. On Portuguese Bend Road across the street from 52
Portuguese Bend on the West side of the street (two
Bins will be located here).
Residents can take advantage of the communal bin
program AND order one FREE 40 cubic yard bin for
green waste disposal as a part of a property's annual

CREST ROAD EAST & EASTFIELD DRIVE UTILITY
UNDERGROUNDING PROJECTS UPDATE
Southern California Edison (SCE) will begin their portion of
construction which extends from approximately 85 Crest
Road East to roughly the Cal Water property. Initial
construction is anticipated to last about two months.
After that another two months will be necessary to finalize
the undergrounding of electrical/telecommunications
wires and then removal of the overhead wires and poles.

On Eastfield Drive just north of Hackamore Road, SCE will
have crews ensuring that their vault designs do not
conflict with pre-existing utilities underground. Residents
can anticipate crews working in the coming month for a

TENNIS COURT #1 RESURFACING AND
PICKLEBALL STRIPING
Tennis Court #1 will be resurfaced and repainted
exclusively for pickleball, with permanent nets installed,
this summer. The work will take place from August 19
through 22. Court #1 will be unavailable for play during
that time to allow the court for the resurfacing and paint
to cure.
SADDLEBACK SINKHOLE UPDATE
Construction on the sinkhole remediation started May 30
and is expected to last 8 weeks. Please stay clear of this
area from May 30 to July 30.
