NOVEMBER 11 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Although City Hall will be closed in observance of
Veterans Day on Monday, November 11, 2024, the City
Council will hold its meeting that evening starting at 7pm.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
City Hall will be closed on Thursday,
November 28 and Friday, November 29, in
observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Holiday Trash Collection Schedule – No pick-ups will
occur on Thursday, November 28. Residents who normally
have their trash collected on Thursday will receive service
on Friday and Friday pick-ups will be serviced on
Saturday.

The Women’s Community Club of Rolling Hills

Children’s Holiday Party at the RHCA Building, 1

The Rolling Hills Courts Club will host a Casino Night
Holiday Party on, Friday, December 6 at 6:00pm at the
Rolling Hills Country Club. Tickets are $150 per person. To

NOVEMBER TIP TO HELP CONSERVE WATER
Choose some of Southern California’s many native
plants and succulents that are naturally drought
tolerant. Please save water by using drip-irrigation for
easy care and water conservation.
CITY WEBSITE UPDATES ON EMERGENCY INFO
The City’s website now includes an “Emergency Alerts” tab
with information regarding current events and expedited
permitting of generators, propane, or solar panels for

Rolling Hills Planning & Traffic Commissions
The Planning & Traffic Commissions are a great
opportunity for City of Rolling Hills residents to get involved
in the community. Commissioners serve a four-year term.
There is currently one position on each commission with
terms expiring. Contact the City Clerk's Office at

WEST BASIN FREE BARREL GIVEAWAY EVENTS
This fall, West Basin is hosting six drive-through rain barrel
pick-up events on various Saturdays between November
16, 2024 – January 25, 2025 at different locations
throughout the service area. The district will give away a
total of 1,500 free rain barrels to help our collective
residents save water and money, while reducing
stormwater runoff. Events will be held at the following
locations and may be attended by any qualified
resident within the West Basin Service Area. Registration
is highly recommended.

• El Segundo, Saturday, November 23
• Gardena, Saturday, December 7
• Lomita, Saturday, December 14
• Malibu, Saturday, January 11
• Rolling Hills Estates, Saturday, January 25
SPARK OF LOVE TOY DONATIONS
This year, the County of LA Fire Department, ABC7,
Toys for Tots, and Southern California Firefighters will
celebrate the 32nd Year of the Spark of Love Toy Drive.
This year, you can donate to Spark of Love by: dropping
off your new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment
at your local neighborhood fire station, texting the
word “SPARK” to 24365, or donating online at
https://Supportlafd.kindful.com/?campaign=1032876 to
donate via credit card. All proceeds go towards buying
toys or sports equipment for the children or bringing new,
unwrapped toys or sports equipment to the upcoming
Stuff-A-Bus-event at Los Cerritos Center in Cerritos on
December 6, 2024.
