POWER RESTORATION & REQUIRED PERMITS
Southern California Edison has committed to restoring
power to properties that saw utility shut offs in September
2024 due to land movement concerns. Permits are
required for homes that installed alternative power
sources. The City and County are waiving fees until
December 31, 2025 and expediting the process for
impacted residents.

UPDATE ON STATUS OF 79 EASTFIELD DRIVE
As of January 24, 2025, a stipulation with opposing
counsels was reached to appoint a receiver, TS
Strategies. As the court authority with possession of the
property, TS Strategies has inspected the property along
with City Staff and City Attorney to survey and document
the work in order to draft motions and seek court
approval for funding. The likely next steps for the property
include r emov ing the incomplete structure and concrete
slab, marketing the land to investors, and working with the
court to approve a sale.

PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY AND PROTECT
YOUR ROLLING HILLS COMMUNITY
Residents are reminded to maintain the appropriate
clearance between structures and vegetation. The Los
Angeles County Fire Department regulates the first 200
feet from structures in order to establish a fire fighting
defensible space. The City Ordinance requires the
removal of dead trees and plants on the remainder of
your property to help keep our community safe from the
threat of wildfires. Residents may wish to consult with their
gardener, an arborist or tree service to assess trees and
shrubs and for constructive clearance methods that
avoid future erosion. If you have questions about
clearance requirements, please call the Fire Department
at 310-377-1584. Links to Educational Videos:
