SCG is implementing a long-term plan that includes monitoring points and isolation valves to enhance gas flow control. Implementation is expected by mid-2025, with service restoration beginning as conditions allow. The City is committed to working with both SCG and SCE to implement effective and safe solutions for restoring service to the community. Updates will be provided as progress continues. Read the full update here: SoCalGas.com/PVLandMovement POWER RESTORATION & REQUIRED PERMITS Southern California Edison has committed to restoring power to properties that saw utility shut offs in September 2024 due to land movement concerns. Permits are required for homes that installed alternative power sources. The City and County are waiving fees until December 31, 2025 and expediting the process for impacted residents. PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY AND PROTECT YOUR ROLLING HILLS COMMUNITY Residents are reminded to maintain the appropriate clearance between structures and vegetation. The Los Angeles County Fire Department regulates the first 200 feet from structures in order to establish a firefighting defensible space. The City Ordinance requires the removal of dead trees and plants on the remainder of your property to help keep our community safe from the threat of wildfires. Residents may wish to consult with their gardener, an arborist or tree service to assess trees and shrubs and for constructive clearance methods that avoid future erosion. If you have questions about clearance requirements, please call the Fire Department at 310-377-1584.
