PALOS VERDES PENINSULA MULTI-
JURISDICTIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
Help Shape Our Community’s Resilience Plan. The cities of
the Palos Verdes Peninsula are working together to
develop a Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, a
key document that identifies local hazards, assesses risks,
and outlines strategies to reduce the impact of disasters
such as wildfires, earthquakes, and severe weather.
We want to hear from you!
Your input is essential in helping us understand the
community’s concerns and priorities when it comes to
public safety and emergency preparedness.
Please take a few minutes to complete the community
survey by visiting:

Thank you for being an important part of
making the Rolling Hills safer and more
resilient for all .
AUGUST WATER CONSERVATION TIP
To help preserve our vital water resources, residents are
encouraged to limit lawn watering to early morning or
late evening hours, when evaporation rates are lowest.
For long-term savings and sustainability, consider
replacing traditional grass lawns with drought-tolerant
landscaping, which requires significantly less water while
enhancing the beauty and resilience of your property.
Please visit the City’s website, Rolling-Hills.org, for drought-
tolerant, fire resilient plant suggestions under Emergency
Preparedness/Defensible Space & Plant Selection.
DRIVE SAFE, WATCH YOUR SPEED
As a friendly reminder, please be mindful of your speed,
especially when driving downhill where its easier to go
faster than intended. Sticking to the posted speed limit
not only keeps you safe, but also helps everyone in our
community safe- yourself, your neighbors, and their
families. Speeding, even by just a few miles per hour, can
significantly increase the stopping distance and the risk of
accidents. Thank you for helping to keep our roads and
community safe!
