NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH September is National Preparedness Month, a nationwide campaign that encourages individuals to review your household emergency plan, update supplies, sign up for notification systems like Alert SouthBay, and have discussions with loved ones about how to stay safe. By preparing now, we can all help make Rolling Hills a safer and more resilient community. Here are a few simple steps you can take to be ready: Make a plan: Talk with your household about where to meet and how to communicate during an emergency. Build an emergency kit: Include water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, and important documents. Stay informed: Sign up for Alert SouthBay to receive timely emergency alerts and updates. Protect your home: Clear brush and debris around your property. Keep landscaping lean and green. ALERT SOUTH BAY – STAY IN THE KNOW Providing residents with timely, accurate emergency alert and warning notifications through an integrated, standardized, cross- jurisdictional notification platform, helps reduce the loss of life and damage to property and the environment.
