Regular Meeting 8:30 a.m.
1. Call to Order
The Traffic Commission of the City of Rolling Hills met on the above date at 8:30 a.m. Chair Wilson presiding.

Motion by Vice Chair Bobit, seconded by Commissioner Raine to approve the order of the agenda. Motion
carried unanimously with the following vote:
AYES: Raine, Virtue, Varner, Bobit, Chair Wilson

Motion by Commissioner Raine, seconded by Commissioner Virtue to approve the Consent Calendar.
Motion carried unanimously with the following vote:

Motion by Vice Chair Bobit, seconded by Commissioner Raine to receive and file. Motion carried
unanimously with the following vote:

10. Discussion Items
10.A. Follow-up to previous discussion regarding existing Rolling Hills Municipal Code overnight
parking restriction ordinance for possible revisions or updates.
Presentation by Assistant to the City Manager / City Clerk Horvath.
Public Comment: Arty Beckler
Motion by Commissioner Raine, seconded by Commissioner Virtue recommending the City Council approve
revisions of RHMC 10.52.210 to read as follows: “no person shall stop, leave standing, or park any motor
vehicle between the hours of 2 a.m. and 4.am, except for authorized emergency vehicles, City or Association
approved construction staging sites, and/or the vehicle of any regularly licensed physician when engaged in
making professional calls.” Motion carried unanimously with the following vote:
AYES: Raine, Virtue, Varner, Bobit, Chair Wilson
NOES: None

11. Matters From Members of the Traffic Commission
Public Comment: Arty Beckler
Commissioner Raine requested to agendize an item regarding potential municipal code language
clarifications to parking regulations near equestrian paths. Staff noted the need to confer with the Association
and Caballeros Club about which trails and streets could be in conflict with this directive.
Vice Chair Bobit inquired about speed limit striping on roadways coming back to the Commission. Staff noted
that they were working on gathering information about pricing before bringing back at the next meeting.
Chair Wilson directed staff to look into the speed limit change on Palos Verdes Drive North.
12. Matters From Staff
Assistant to the City Manager / City Clerk Horvath updated Commissioners on the ADA completions to the
tennis courts.
13. ADJOURNMENT: 9:21 A.M.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:21 a.m. to a regular meeting of the Traffic Commission scheduled to be
held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the City Council Chamber, Rolling Hills City Hall,
2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, California, 90274.
