NOTICE OF A FIELD TRIP OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE

The PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Rolling Hills will conduct a field
inspection on Tuesday. TUNE 14, 2005 to view a proposed project at 7
Packsaddle Road East in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 704
Dr. and Mrs. Paul Straub, 7 Packsaddle Road East, (Lot 27-SF). Request for
a Variance to construct an addition, which would encroach into the front
setback at an existing single family residence.
The Planning Commission's schedule is to visit another property beginning at
5:00 P.M., and then proceed to subject site. Therefore, it is estimated that the
Planning Commission will arrive at this property around 5:20 P.M., unless
unforeseen circumstances resulting from the visit to the other property dictate
otherwise.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on May
17, 2005, at which time the Planning Commission heard a detailed presentation
of the proposal. The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the Commissioners
and interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of the
proposed project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip and provide public testimony.
However, due to time constraint during the field visit, extensive testimony and
comments will be considered at the regular Planning Commission public hearing
described below. We urge you to review the application, plans and minutes of
the previous meeting on subject application prior to the site visit. These and
other pertinent documents are available at the City Hall Administration Building
located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
The next meeting of the Planning Commission will take place on the same night
as the field trip, Tuesday. Tune 14, 2005, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at which time the
Commission will further discuss and deliberate this case.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Rolling Hills will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on May 17, 2005, at the City
Hall Administration Building, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the
purpose of receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 704. Request for a Variance to permit construction of
an addition, which would encroach into the front yard setback at an
existing single family residence at 7 Packsaddle Road East (Lot 27-SF),
Rolling Hills, CA.
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapter 17.38 —
Variances.
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the
meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you
may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the
public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to
the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
