SUBJECT: ZONING CASE NO. 341 - JOHNSON ( 7 CREST ROAD EAST)
RECOMMENDATION:
The Planning Commission approved Zoning Case No. 341 which grants
a conditional use permit for a guest house, at 7 Crest Road East. It is
recommended that the City Council acknowledge and accept the Planning
Commission action.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Alan Johnson applied for a conditional use permit to allow
the construction of a guest house, at 7 Crest Road East. The Planning
Commission had previously rejected an application for a CUP for a guest
house, due to the proposed location of said house, on the property( Zoning
Case No. 339). The applicant filed a new request for a guest house CUP;
indicating a more appropriate location.
The Planning Commission approved the new guest house location,
with several special conditions:
1. The grading required to construct the guest house cannot
exceed that which was indicated on plan approved as Exhibit A.
2. The fence in the easement along Crest Road East and along
the east side of the property must be relocated out of the easement; and
the easement be cleared of other obstructions.
3. An engineered drainage system must be incorporated into
the design of guest house; and, be approved by the City Engineer.
4. If a swimming pool is constructed on the site, all
drainage of water from the pool must be accomplished by pumping the water
into a tank truck, designed for that purpose; and, disposed of outside the
::ity of Rolling Hills.
5. The conditions as set forth in the policy memorandum,
dated, March, 1980, are to be made part of the conditions for the approval
of the CUP.
The Planning Commission unanimously approved Zoning Case No. 341.
