NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will conduct a field visit
on TUESDAY, August 19, 2014 at 7:30 a.m. to view a silhouette for a proposed
project at 10 Crest Road West in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 860. Request for a Conditional Use Permit, Site Plan
Review and Variances to construct a stable with a loft in the front yard area of
the lot and a corral in the front yard setback; a swimming pool and walls in the
rear yard setback; to retain an unpermitted trellis and barbeque in the rear yard
setback and request for grading for the project which would exceed the
maximum permitted disturbance of the lot at 10 Crest Road West, (Lot 2-CH),
Rolling Hills, CA. (Frykman). The project has been determined to be categorically
exempt pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapter 17.46 - Site Plan
Review, Chapter 17.42 - Conditional Use Permit and Chapter 17.38 - Variances.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on July 15,
2014 at which time the Commissioners heard a detailed presentation of the proposal.
The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the members of the Planning
Commission and interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of
the project.
Any person is welcome to review the subject applications and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the
meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may
be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public
meetings described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at, or prior to, the meetings.
Following the field trip the Planning Commission may continue to discuss this project at
their regular meeting to be held on the evening of the field trip, Tuesday, August 19, 2014
beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road.
