Subject: Zoning Case No. 327
Dear Dr. Caesar:
Enclosed for your information is a copy of Ordinance No. 215,
which was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting on June
22, 1987. The new ordinance sets forth the amendment to the Rolling
Hills Municipal Code pertaining to tennis courts, and repeals Urgency
Ordinance No. 51-U, which extended the moratorium on tennis courts
to July 28, 1987. Ordinance No. 215 will become effective on July
23, 1987.
Your request for a Conditional Use Permit for a tennis court,
which was approved by the Planning Commission on June 17, 1986,
has been held on the City Council's agenda pending termination
of the moratorium. Zoning Case No. 327 will be placed on the City
Council's agenda for the regular meeting on Monday, July 27, 1987
at 7:30 p.m..
Please call this office if you have any questions.

August 26, 1986
The City Council, at it's August 25, 1986 meeting, determined
that since there is a Moratiorium on the processing and construction
of'tennis courts, it would not be appropriate to hear your request
for a Conditional Use Permit to construct a tennis court. At the
present time, the City Council considers it prudent to hold, in
abeyance, the consideration of CUP applications for tennis courts;
until, the matter of the extension of the moratorium .can .be.heard
and discussed. Therefore, the Public Hearing on Zoning Case No. 327
has been continued to September 22, 1986 at 7:30 p.m., in the City
Council Chambers, #2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, California.
On Monday, September 8, 1986, the City Council will be considering
the matter of extending the Urgency Ordinance an additional 10 months
and 15 days. At that Public Hearing, testimony will be taken by
residents of the community and other interested parties on the issue
of the Tennis Court Moratorium, both pro and con. You may wish to
plan to attend so that you might be able to express your views,
regarding your particular situation.
Sincerely,
Terrence L. Belang
