VERMONT AVENUE LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90020 IN REPLY PLEASE REFER TO FILE: In regards to the complaint of a "guest house" on the subject property being used as a second house, our records indicates the accessory building, which is approximately 20'.x 14' in size, was originally a barn which was converted some years ago to anaccessory building as defined in the municipal code. Proper permits were obtained for the conversion at that time. Exterior inspection of the structure on June 18, 1985, found no violations of the building code. Unless there is evidence of a kitchen range in the accessory building, the structure cannot be considered a second house, but only as an accessory use to the main residence as permitted by the municipal code.
