NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF A FIELD TRIP
BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills
will hold a Public Hearing beginning at approximately 8:20 - 8:30 AM on Tuesday,
October 20, 2015, to view a silhouette and staking of a proposed project at 1 Middleridge
Lane South:
ZONING CASE 890. Request for a Site Plan Review and a Conditional Use
Permit for grading and construction of a regulation dressage arena and a
lunging ring and request for a Variance to locate the arena and an existing
gazebo in the front yard area of the lot at 1 Middleridge Lane South, (Lot 167-
UR), Rolling Hills, CA, (Popovich). The project is exempt from the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15303(e) (accessory
structures) and Section 15061(b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption) of the CEQA
Guidelines.
The Planning Commission's schedule is to visit two other properties beginning at 7:30 am,
and therefore the exact time of the visit cannot be specified.
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Site Plan Review - Chapter
17.46, Conditional Use Permit -Chapter 17.42, and Variance - Chapter 17.38.
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the public
hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road,
Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your comments in writing
to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the meeting and address ,the
Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing
described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning
Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
Following the field trip the Planning Commission will continue to discuss this project at their
regular meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council
Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road.
