PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will conduct a field visit
on FRIDAY. JUNE 29. 2012 at 7:30 A.M. to view a REVISED silhouette for a
proposed project at 5 Johns Canyon Road in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 815. Request for a Site Plan Review for grading and
construction of a new 9,387 square foot single family residence with 1,187
square foot garage and a pool, to replace an existing residence; and
Variances to exceed the maximum permitted disturbed area, to locate a
pool and the set aside area for a future stable and corral in the front yard
area of the lot, at 5 Johns Canyon Road, Rolling Hills, CA (Lot 173-A-MS),
(Muncherian), Project has been determined to be exempt from the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapter 17.46 — Site Plan
Review and Chapter 17.38 — Variances.
The Planning Commission held several public hearings, including a site visit. Per the
recommendation of the Planning Commission and public input the applicants revised
their project. The purpose of the field trip is to re -visit the project to view the
silhouette of the amended request.
Any person is welcome to attend. You may review the subject applications and plans
prior to the public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2
Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the
meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of these permit applications in court, you may
be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public
hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
The Planning Commission may continue to discuss and deliberate this case at their
regular meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 2012 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the
City Hall Council Chambers, OR they may call for Resolution of approval in the field.
