NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills
will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in the City Hall
Administration Building, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose of receiving
public input regarding the following Zoning Case:
ZONING CASE NO. 940, Request for a Site Plan Review and Conditional Use Permit to
construct a new 1,325 square foot detached garage; and Variance to allow the garage to be
located in the front , yard was noticed, discussed and considered by the Planning
Commission at their July 17, 2018 meeting and during a field trip to the site.
In addition to the above proposed project, at the August 21, 2018, meeting, the Planning
Commission will also consider the adoption of a Resolution approving the project with an
additional Variance for the disturbance for the proposed project exceeding the maximum
allowed limit, a 105 square foot residential addition, a 196 square foot covered porch
addition, and 490 cubic yards of grading. The subject property is located at 38 Portuguese
Bend Road (Lot 118-RH) Rolling Hills, CA, (Steve and Lori Wheeler).
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt (Class 3) pursuant to the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.

field trip is to familiarize members of the Planning Commission and interested parties
with the location, topography, size and extent of the project.
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the public
