Rolling Hills, CA Dear Mr. Vroom: THIRTY-EIGHTH FLOOR 333 SOUTH HOPE STREET LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90071 (213) 626-8484 CABLE ADDRESS RICHWAT OF COUNSEL RONALO M. GREENBERG A RRORSSIOKAI COR.ORATIOK The City of Rolling Hills has determined that you have constructed a swimming pool deck and placed pool equip- ment in what has been determined to be the side yard setback of your property located a.t 26 Middleridge Lane South. In order to be permitted to maintain any of the above -referenced items in the setback area on your property you must obtain a variance from the City of Rolling Hills. If you fail to apply for and obtain such a variance the City will require that the items placed on the setback area be removed. We understand that there is existing litigation between yourself and one of your neighbors concerning the placement of the swimming pool, pool equipment and pool deck. If you will file for the required variance the City is willing to stay any proceeding on the variance application until after the litigation in which you are involved concerning the above -referenced items is resolved. The stay of processing is conditioned upon the fact that you agree to place no further equipment and make no further development in the set- back area until this entire issue has been concluded. If this approach is acceptable to you, please execute the enclosed copy of this letter which is marked Mr. Kenneth Vroom Page 2 January 22, 1982 for your approval and return it to me in the enclosed envelope, and file the requisite application with the City of Rolling Hills within thirty (30) days.
