NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF A FIELD TRIP
BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at a
field trip on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 26 Middleridge Lane South, Rolling Hills, CA at 7:30
a.m. for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 951, Request for Site Plan Review for new residential addition of
approximately 1,100 square feet, new approximately 410 square foot covered porch with raised
deck, conversion of an existing raised deck, changes to the existing residence ridgeline, and
approximately 300 cubic yards of balanced grading; and Variances due to the proposed
residential addition and raised deck both being located in the side yard setback and the stable
and corral set aside area proposed to be located in the front yard setback area including in front
of the leading edge of the residence. The subject property is located at 26 Middleridge Lane
South (Lot 248-A-2-UR) Rolling Hills, CA, (Manquen).
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Site Plan Review — Chapter 17.46, and
Variance — Chapter 17.38
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the public hearing at the City
Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your
input. You may provide your comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or
come to the meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may be limited to raising
only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written
correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearings.
The Planning Commission will continue the public hearing and will discuss and deliberate this project at
their regular meeting, scheduled on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City
Hall Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
