Rolling Hills will re -open a previously closed Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose of re -consideration and receiving
public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 697, Request for a Variance to retain an
existing shade shelter, which encroaches into the front yard setback
and to construct an addition to a stable, which would encroach into
the front yard; request for Variances to exceed the maximum
permitted structural and total lot coverage; and for a Site Plan
Review on a property requiring Planning Commission review due
to condition of a previous approval at an existing single family
residence at 15 Eastfield Drive (Lot 52-EF), Rolling Hills, CA.
MUNICIPAL CODE APPLICATIONS: Chapter 17.46 — Site Plan Review and
Chapter 17.38 — Variances
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to
the meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you
may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the

The Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills will conduct a field
inspection on Saturday, December 4. 2004 at 8:00 AM, to view a proposed
project at 15 Eastfield Drive in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 697
Mr. and Mrs. Errol Gordon, request for Variances to retain an equestrian shelter,
which encroaches into the front setback; to construct an addition to the existing
stable located in the front yard; to exceed the maximum permitted structural and
total lot coverage.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on
November 16, 2004, at which time the Commission heard a detailed presentation
of the proposal. The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the Commission
and interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of the
proposed project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip. However, due to time constraint
during the field visit, extensive testimony and comments will be considered at
the regular Planning Commission public hearing, described below. You are
urged to review the application, plans and minutes of the 11/16/04 Planning
Commission meeting on subject application prior to the site visit. These and
other pertinent documents are available at the City Hall Administration Building
located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
The Planning Commission will hold an additional meeting regarding Zoning
Case No. 697 on Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at 6:30 PM., at City Hall. Please
