Geologist Geotechnical E1 Engineer 9/1R/97 Post -it' Fax Note 1. Per the geotechnical addendum, the existing landslide meets County minimum factors of safety based on the analysis for cross-section CC -CC'. However, using the slide plane strength parameters provided, independent analysis of the existing landslide shown on cross-section DD-DD' indicates factors of safety below County standard. Verify and address the possible adverse effect to the proposed grading, structures and offsite properties. Recommend mitigation as necessary. 2. Independent analysis of the most critical active wedge on the retaining wall indicates a higher design equivalent fluid pressure. At -rest condition must also be considered in the design equivalent fluid pressure of proposed basement walls. Verify and recommend mitigation as necessary. 3. Add the following note on the grading plans: Per the geotechnical engineering report, temporary vertical cuts exposing daylighted bedding planes shall be a maximum height of 5 feet. 4. As previously requested, show the following on the grading plans: a. Approximate limits and depths of existing uncertified fill with the following note, 'Fill is uncompacted and unsuitable for the support of structures," b. Limits and depths of removal and recompaction of all unsuitable materials under proposed slabs, if applicable. Location of private sewage disposal system. c. 5. The Geotechnical Engineer must review the grading plans and sign and stamp the plane in verification of his recommendations. Original manual signature and wet stamp are required. G. Submit two sets of grading plans to the Soils Section for verification of compliance with County codes and policies. 10-15-1997 04:55PM FROM MATERIALS ENGINEERING TO cuum x UL'' Lob ANUSIAZS 411 EPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TERIALS ENGINEERING DIVISION 913103777288 P.02 GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING REVIEW SHEET Address: 900 S.
