The Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills will conduct a field
inspection on Tuesday, Tune 15, 2004, to view a proposed project at 1
Meadowlark Lane, Rolling Hills in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 688
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Mizell, 1 Meadowlark Lane, (Lot 24-1-RH). Variance to
construct a garage, which would encroach into the front setback and Variance to
exceed the maximum permitted disturbed lot area at an existing single family
residence.
The Planning Commission's schedule is to visit another property beginning at
5:30 PM on that day, and then proceed to 1 Meadowlark Lane. Therefore,
expect the Commission at this address around 6:00 PM, unless due to
unforeseen circumstances the field trip to the other property is cancelled or
delayed.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on May
18, 2004, at which time the Commission heard a detailed presentation of the
proposal. The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the Commission and
interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of the proposed
project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip. However, due to time constraint
during the field visit, extensive testimony and comments will be considered at
the regular Planning Commission public hearing, described below. You are
urged to review the application, plans and minutes of the 5/18/04 Planning
Commission meeting on subject application prior to the site visit. These and
other pertinent documents are available at the City Hall Administration Building
located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
The Planning Commission will hold an additional meeting regarding Zoning
Case No. 688 on Tuesday , Tune 15, 2004, at 7:30 PM., at City Hall. Please reserve
this date.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Rolling Hills will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, in
the Council Chambers of City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA
for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 688, Request for a Variance to construct a residential
addition, which would encroach into the front setback; Variances to exceed the
maximum permitted structural and total net lot coverage; and a Variance to
exceed the maximum permitted disturbed area of the lot, at 1 Meadowlark Lane
(Lot 24-1-RH), Rolling Hills, CA.
MUNICIPAL CODE APPLICATIONS: Chapter 17.38 — Variances
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, and CA. We welcome your input. You may provide
your comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or
come to the meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you
may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the
public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to
the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
