PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills will
hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the site at 26 Eastfield Drive,
Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose of receiving public input regarding the following Zoning
Case:
ZONING CASE NO. 921, Request for Variances to construct, on a substandard sized
lot, a new swimming pool/spa, pool deck, pool equipment area, barbeque and patio,
new planters and stairs, and legalize an existing fire pit, chicken coop and shed. The
nature of variances include exceeding the maximum permitted total lot coverage,
structural coverage and disturbance of the lot; to encroach with an existing shed, fire
pit, chicken coop and the proposed swimming pool, spa and related development
into setbacks and lack of ability to reach minimum distance for animal keeping in
Zoning Case No. 921 at 26 Eastfield Drive (Lot 86-A-EF) Rolling Hills, CA, (Clinton).
The project has been determined to be categorically exempt (Class 3) pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Section 15303.
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Variance - Chapter 17.38
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the public
hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling
Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your comments in writing to the
Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the meeting and address the Planning
Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may be limited
to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this
notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the
public hearings.
The Planning Commission will continue to discuss and deliberate this case at their regular
meeting, scheduled on Tuesday, Tune 20, 2017, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall
Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
