SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF TRAFFIC COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION
REGARDING A NEW DRIVEWAY ACCESS AT 5 CINCHRING
ROAD. (ROSENWALD).
DATE: JULY 29, 1996
BACKGROUND
At the regular adjourned meeting of the Rolling Hills Traffic Commission held
Thursday, July 18, 1996, Commissioners considered a request for an amended
driveway apron at 5 Cinchring Road. The applicant is requesting to eliminate 2
existing driveway approaches that measure 18 and 18-1/2 feet wide at their aprons
respectively and construct a new 24 foot wide driveway south of the previous
entrances.
Representatives of the Traffic Commission considered this matter at their meeting
and in the field with the assistance of the Traffic Engineer. At that field review, the
Traffic Commission recommended that the City Council approve the driveway
apron. Specific conditions included that the oleander bushes and other obstructing
vegetation be cleared on both sides of the driveway for a distance of 50 feet, 6 feet
back from the roadway from a ground level to 7 feet high and that the driveway
apron be scored for equestrian crossing.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that members of the Rolling Hills City Council approve this
driveway apron request as recommended by the Traffic Commission.
