Curtis and I wish to have our request for a conditional use permit
on our subject property for a tennis court placed on a "pending"

We are now working to redo our site and plot plan to some extent
and would like to wait to have your review and final hearings

Subject: Request for Conditional Use Permit for a tennis
court on Lot 12-1-EF, Zoning Case No. 351
Gentlemen:
We all have learned the danger of too much construction in Rolling Hills.
Although the area of the Flying Triangle is the worst demonstration of the
instability of the ground in our city, it is well known that all of the hills
on the Palos Verdes peninsula suffer more or less from the same instability
problem.
Under these circumstances, it is difficult to understand that the City would
consider the possibility of permitting the grading and moving of huge masses
of soil and rocks for purposes entirely unnecessary, such as the construction
of buildings which are unreasonably large, and of tennis courts which are not
needed, both on marginal lots which should be left undisturbed. For the
record, we strongly object to the construction of a tennis court on the lot of
62 Crest Road East specifically, as well as to the proposed construction of a
greatly oversized building on the same lot.
Very truly yours
The Schleissner family,

To the
Planning Commission of the City of
Rolling Hills. CA.
12.9.1987.,
This is to voice our objection to the conditional use
permit for construction of a tennis court on lot 12 - 1 - BF Eastfield tract,
property address 62 Crest Rd. E.fsince the proposed construction of the pro-
ject requires -extensive earth movement and we fear possible consequences similar
to the Flying Triangle.
Very truly yours

Re: 12-1 Eastfield Tract
62 Crest Road East
Dear Alan:
I am in receipt of the Notice of Public Hearing before the
Planning Commission in relation to the application for a
Conditional Use Permit in Zoning Case No. 351. My property
is located southeasterly and at a higher elevation than the
proposed tennis court which will add substantially to the
over improvement of the lot and will depreciate the aesthetic
value of my property and all other property which has a view
to the north.
Please make this objection known to the other members of the
Planning Commission.
Very truly yours
William B. Stringfellow, Jr.
