The Planning Commission of the City of Rolling Hills will conduct a field
inspection on MAY 17, 2005 to view a proposed project at 18 Eastfield Drive,,
Rolling Hills in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 703, Mr. and Mrs. Rich
Site Plan Review for grading and construction of a new stable and
corral, Conditional Use Permit to convert an existing stable into a
recreation room, and a Variance to exceed the maximum permitted
disturbed area of the lot at an existing single family residence at 18
Eastfield Drive, (Lot 69-A-EF), Rolling Hills, CA.
The Planning Commission's timetable is to visit another property beginning at
5:30 P.M., and then proceed to subject site. Therefore, it is expected that the
Planning Commission will arrive at this property around 5:50-6:00 P.M., unless
unforeseen circumstances at the other property dictate otherwise.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on April
19, 2005, at which time the Commission heard a detailed presentation of the
proposal. The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the Commission and
interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of the proposed
project.
Any person is welcome to attend this field trip. However, due to time constraint
during the field visit, extensive testimony and comments will be considered at
the regular Planning Commission public hearing, described below. You are
urged to review the application, plans and minutes of the 4/ 19 / 05 Planning
Commission meeting on subject application prior to the site visit. These and
other pertinent documents are available at the City Hall Administration Building
located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
After the field trip, the next meeting of the Planning Commission will take place
on the same night, Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at 6:30 P.M., at which time the
Commission will further discuss and deliberate this case.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rolling
Hills will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 in the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose
of receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 703

Conditional Use Permit to convert an existing stable into a recreation

the lot and a Site Plan Review for a minor addition on a property that

APPLICATION REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Site Plan Review - Chapter
17.46, Variances — Chapter 17.38 and Conditional Use Permits - Chapter 17.42.
This project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the
meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you may
be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public
hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the
Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
