NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Rolling Hills will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 PM on March 17, at Rolling Hills
City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the purpose of
receiving public input regarding the following:
ZONING CASE NO. 873 and 874. Mr. John Rich, 20 Outrider Road, (Lot 78-EF),
Rolling Hills, CA. Request for a Zoning Code Amendment to amend the Rolling
Hills Municipal Code, Section 17.18.070 to allow aviaries exceeding 200 square
feet with a Conditional Use Permit on lots that are less than 5 acres in size; and a
request for a Conditional Use Permit to construct a 338 square foot aviary on a lot
that is less than 5 acres in size. The project has been determined to be
categorically exempt pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA).
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapter 17.42 Conditional
Use Permits, and Chapter 17.50 - Ordinance Amendment.
Any person is welcome to review the subject application and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Buildinglocated at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to
the meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you
may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the
public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to

on TUESDAY, April 21, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. to view a silhouette for a proposed project
at 20 Outrider Road, Rolling Hills, CA in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 873 and 874. Mr. John Rich, 20 Outrider Road, (Lot 78-EF).

17, 2015 at which time the Commissioners heard a detailed presentation of the
proposal. The purpose of the field trip is to familiarize the members of the Planning
Commission and interested parties with the location, topography, size and extent of
the project.
Any person is welcome to review the subject applications and plans prior to the
public hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese
Bend Road, Rolling Hills. We welcome your input. You may provide your
comments in writing to the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the
meeting and address the Planning Commission on this project.
