NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Planning Commission of the City of
Rolling Hills will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 6:30 PM, at
Rolling Hills City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA for the
purpose of receiving public input regarding a revised application. Following
review of the request and public input, the Planning Commission may consider
a Resolution of Approval to grant the request:
ZONING CASE NO. 819. Mr. and Mrs. Claessens, 9 Portuguese Bend
Road, (Lot 74-RH), Rolling Hills, CA. Request for a Variance to construct a 497
square foot addition to the residence of which 155 square feet would encroach
into the rear setback and a Variance to retain a shed in the rear yard setback on a
property developed with a residence, detached garage, pool, stable and guest
house. The project has been determined to be categorically exempt pursuant to
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
APPLICATIONS REQUIRED BY MUNICIPAL CODE: Chapter 17.38 -
Variances.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing in the field on June 26, 2012 and
identified an unpermitted shed structure in the rear setback. Any encroachments
into setbacks require approval of a Variance. Any person is welcome to review
the subject application and plans prior to the public hearing at the City Hall
Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA.
We welcome your input. You may provide your comments in writing to the
Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the meeting and address
the Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this permit application in court, you
may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at .the
