NOTICE OF A FIELD TRIP - PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the. Planning Commission will conduct a field visit on
Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at approximately 7:50 a.m. to view a silhouette for a proposed
project at 29 Crest Road East in the following zoning case:
ZONING CASE NO. 854. Request for a Site Plan Review for grading and
construction of a mixed use structure and detached garage, a 1,671 square foot
infinity swimming pool, retaining walls and various miscellaneous structures,
including trellises, barbeque, pool equipment and trash service areas; Conditional
Use Permit for 1,433 square foot mixed use structure (garage and cabana) and a 494
square foot detached garage; and Variances to locate the above accessory structures
in the front yard area of the lot and for higher than permitted retaining walls that on
the average exceed 2.5 feet in height, at 29 Crest Road East, (Lot 133-A-MS), Rolling
Hills, CA. (Stevens). The project has been determined to be categorically exempt
pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on subject zoning case on March 18,
2014 at which time a detailed presentation of the proposal was made. The purpose of the
field trip is to familiarize members of the Planning Commission and interested parties
with the location, topography, size and extent of the project.
Any person is welcome to review the subject applications and plans prior to the public
hearing at the City Hall Administration Building located at 2 Portuguese Bend Road,
Rolling Hills. We welcome your input. You may provide your comments in writing to
the Planning Department prior to the meeting or come to the meeting and address the
Planning Commission on this project.
If you challenge the approval or denial of this application in court, you may be limited to
raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in
this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or
prior to, the public hearing.
Following the field trip the Planning Commission will reconvene to discuss this project at their
regular meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City
Hall Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, CA
