Gentlemen:
Your approval is requested for a variance from
the Zoning Ordinance to allow construction of a stable,
riding ring and tennis court, to be located on the lot
located at 11 Crest Road East.
We request a "Front Yard Variance;" that is, we
request that we be allowed to forego locating a yard
or garden along the road between the road and the
house.
The lot in question has considerable slope and is
essentially not visible from the road, so that the
usually desirable picture of a fore garden to set off
the house is not possible. (Actually the present house
is so invisible most people are surprised to learn of
its existence.)
The slope on the lower or back side of the house
is such that these facilities cannot be considered
there, and therefore the front yard variance is
necessary if they are to come into existence.
Your approval will be greatly appreciated.
Very r ly yours,
