FINDINGS AND FORMAL REPORT
The application of ROBERT L. HARMON and AGEDA N.
HARMON, Lot 72A, Eastfield, for a side and front yard variance
came on for hearing on the 8th day of July, 1963, at the hour
of 7:00 P.M. at the City Hall of the City of Rolling Hills,
California, and the applicants having submitted evidence in
support of their application, and the Planning Commission being
advised, now makes its Findings and Formal Report as required
by the Ordinances of the City of Rolling Hills, California
I.
The Commission finds that the applicants, ROBERT L.
HARMON and AGEDA N. HARMON, are the owners of that certain real
property described as Lot 72A, Eastfield, located in the City
of Rolling Hills, California, and that notice of the public
hearing in connection with said application was given as
required by Sections 8.06 and 8.07 of Ordinance No. 33 of the
City of Rolling Hills, California.

The Commission further finds that the residence

i addition of the applicants is to be located ten (10) feet from
the side lot line instead of the tt,enty (20) feet from the side
9 lot line as required by °aaid Zoning Ordincnce and twenty-five
10 (25) feet from the front lot lino instead of the thirty (30)
11 feet from the front lot line as required by said Ordinance, and
12 further finds that by reason of the terrain of said Lot 72A the
13
variance should be Granted to the applicants in order to preserve
14
1S substantial property rights possessed by other property in the
16 same vicinity and zone, and that the granting of such variance
17 will not be materially detrimental to the public welfare or
18 injurious to property or improvements in such vicinity and zone
19 in which the applicants' property is located, and that there are
20
exceptional and extraordinary circumstances and conditions by
21
reason of physical location and terrain of said Lot 72A, which
22
23 do not apply generally to other property in the same vicinity and
24 zone. iv.
25 I From the foregoing it is concluded that a variance
26 should be granted by the Planning Commission of the City of
27 Rolling Hills to ROBERT L. HARMON and AGEDA N. HARION on Lot 72A
28 of Eastfield in accordance with the Plot Plan marked Exhibit I on
29 file in these proceedings, and it is, therefore, so ordered.
