We appreciate your efforts to address the landscaping directly with your neighbor; often, resolving such matters directly among neighbors is more effective than involving the City. However, for your information, the City has a formal process for considering view impairments. Enclosed is information with regard to the process. Please don't hesitate to call me or Yolanta Schwartz if you have any questions about it. Thank you. In addition I have come to your house a few times but still have not made contact. We are clearing a lot of shrubs along the horse trail and note a lot of shrubs on your property that need trimming. In addition, there are several large trees that either block our view, hang over the horse trail spilling over on to our property, or impinge our citrus trees. We have removed a great deal of ivy coming from your property, filling the swale. We are trying to keep leaves out of the swale, but the leaves come from your trees. We would like to meet with you and show you, from our side of the trail, what our concerns are. Please call us at either 310-377-5369 home, or 310-519-8607, Carrie's office. Sincerely, Stanley L. More specifically, there is heavy growth of shrubs all along the horse trail which has even grown into the power lines. In addition, there are two large eucalyptus trees and some shrubs around palm trees which block our view. When we discussed this you indicated that you "wanted to check the rules" and would call back. Needless to say we are disappointed not to hear from you. In anticipation of having to submit an application for assistance to restore views with the Rolling Hills Community Association, we have taken pictures which show our view obstruction. We are enclosing some for your observation and, again, I would invite you to come over and visualize what we are concerned about. Hopefully, we can resolve this in neighborly fashion without resorting to an action appeal to the Roll Hills Community Association. Sincerely, Stan and Carrie Stock
