This letter is in follow up to the violation that was issued for the unpermitted modifications made
to an existing aviary on your property. Due to the unique nature of the structure, the Association
is requiring that the City of Rolling Hills review and approve the alterations before the
Association's Architectural Committee can review the plans. As of the date of this letter, plans
for the modified aviary with the City or Rolling Hill's approval stamp have not yet been
received.
This letter serves as a reminder that there is still a violation on your property that needs to be
resolved. To resolve this violation, please submit plans to the City of Rolling Hills and once
approved by them, submit an approved set of the plans to the Association office for Architectural
Committee approval.

On February 7, 2011, a violation notice was issued for the unpermitted modifications that were
made to an existing aviary on your property. On March 7, 2011 photos of the modified aviary
were submitted by email for Architectural Committee approval. On March 9, 2011 I informed
you that we, the Association, require that the City of Rolling Hills review and approve the
alterations before the Association's Architectural Committee can review them. As of the date of
this letter, no additional correspondence has been received and we plans of the modified aviary
with the City or Rolling Hills approval stamp have not yet been received.
This letter serves as your second notice of violation and is a reminder that there is still a violation

It has come to our attention that you have made alterations to the exterior of the aviary on your
property at 73 Portuguese Bend Road. It appears that the chicken wire has been replaced with
sliding glass doors and the exterior of the structure has been painted a color that is not
Association approved white with no -tint. All alterations that affect the outward appearance of
your property require Architectural Committee approval and an Association issued building
permit. Enclosed is a violation notice for the unpermitted alterations to your aviary.
Please submit "as -built" plans and photos of the alterations made to the aviary for approval.
These alterations will require City approval prior to being submitted to the Architectural
Committee for review. Architectural Committee meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday
of each month. Please submit plans and a completed Application for Plan Check by noon on the
Thursday prior to the date of the meeting.
Enclosed is a copy of the Application for Plan Check, the Schedule of Fees and the violation
notice.

Triangle area are urged to fill any ground fissures which may exist an your property.
Fissures facilitate the infiltration of rain water into the slide plane which can have the effect
of accelerating landslide movement. Filling fissures can also reduce the opportunities for
