12/4/1991MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA December 4, 1991 An Adjourned Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills was called to order by Mayor Godfrey Pernell at 7:30 a.m. at 42 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, California on December 4, 1991. The subject meeting was adjourned from November 25, 1991. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Council Members Leeuwenburgh and Murdock; Mayor Pernell. ABSENT: Council Member Heinsheimer Mayor Pro Tem Swanson ALSO PRESENT: Craig R. Nealis, City Manager CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING APPEAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 91-27: A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS GRANTING A VARIANCE FOR THE ENCROACHMENT OF A RETAINING WALL IN THE SIDE YARD SETBACK AND GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF A PREVIOUSLY CONSTRUCTED SPORTS COURT IN ZONING CASE NO. 461. ADDRESS: 42 PORTUGUESE BEND ROAD (LOT 120-RH) OWNER; DR. AND MRS. MOHAN BASKER South Bay Engineering .representative Doug McHattie distributed maps showing the proposed reconstructed sports court and other improvements on the property. Following brief discussion City Manager Nealis indicated that Mr. HcHattie had visited City Hall the City Council Minutes 12-4-91 -1- night before and had indicated that the plan presented to the City Council this morning contains modifications (additions) to the house which were not on the plans previously considered by the Planning Commission or the City Council. Councilmembers discussed the reliability of the plan and expressed concerns that the Planning Commission had made their original judgement based upon an inaccurate representation of the house existing on the property. Mayor Pernell suggested that this item be remanded back to the Planning Commission for reconsideration with the new plan. There being no further testimony the public hearing was closed. 0 Councilmember Murdock moved to remand this item back to the Planning Commission for consideration with the new plan. Councilmember Leeuwenburgh seconded the motion which carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:36 a.m. Respectfully submitted: CT 4R.
