CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills was called to order
by Mayor Pro Tem Pernell at 7:35 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 1994, at 9' Open Brand Road, Rolling
Hills, California.

MR. DAVID T. CHRISTENSEN, 9 OPEN BRAND ROAD (LOT 114 -EF)
APPEAL OF A PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF A CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT TO REPLACE A STABLE STRUCTURE WITH A GUEST
HOUSE AND A PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF A SITE PLAN
REVIEW APPROVAL FOR A GUEST HOUSE.
Councilmembers in attendance viewed the site from the residential pad, existing stable pad
(proposed guest house pad), and proposed stable pad. Those in attendance viewed the pre-existing
encroachments of the residential structure as they relate to the property lines.
Councilmember Allen Lay left the meeting at 7:53 a.m.
It was expressed by Councilmember Murdock that construction of the guest house and proposed
future construction of the stable and corral area on the third lower pad essentially precludes this
lot from equestrian purposes in the future. Councilmember Hill expressed the idea of the use of
a four -wheeled ATV vehicle for the removal of manure from the lower pad.
Discussion ensued regarding the ability to construct a future stable on the lower pad.
Councilmembers also discussed the possibility of the applicant constructing the guest house on the
lower pad. Staff was directed to prepare calculations regarding the guest house on the lower pad
for the continued public hearing on this matter to take place on Monday, August 8, 1994.
Hearing no objection and no further testimony, this public hearing was continued to 7:30 p.m. on
Monday, August 8, 1994, in the Rolling Hills City Council Chambers, 2 Portuguese Bend Road,
Rolling Hills.

ADJOURNMENT
Hearing no further business before the City Council, Mayor Pro Tem Pernell adjourned the
meeting at 7:56 a.m. to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council to be held on
Monday, August 8, 1994, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road,
Rolling Hills, California.
