12/19/1994MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS, CALIFORNIA DECEMBER 19,1994 CALL TO ORDER A regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rolling Hills was called to order by Mayor Heinsheimer at 7:30 p.m., on Monday, December 19, 1994, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, California. ROLL CALL Councilmembers Present: Hill, Lay, Murdock, Mayor Pro Tem Pernell and Mayor Heinsheimer. Councilmembers Absent: None. Others Present: Craig R. Nealis, City Manager. Michael Jenkins, City Attorney. Lola Ungar, Principal Planner. Marilyn Kern, Deputy City Clerk. CONSENT CALENDAR Matters which may be acted upon by the City Council in a single motion. Any Councilmember may request removal of any item from the Consent Calendar causing it to be considered under Council Actions. a. Minutes - Regular Meeting of November 28, 1994. RECOMMENDATION: Approve as presented. b. Minutes - Regular Meeting of December 12, 1994. RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file. C. Payment of Bills. RECOMMENDATION: Approve as presented. Mayor Pro Tem Pernell moved approval of the recommendations contained in the Consent Calendar. Councilmember Murdock seconded the motion which carried unanimously. PLANNING COMMISSION ITEMS ZONING CASE NO. 505A RESOLUTION NO. 94-21: A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROLLING HILLS APPROVING A REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND RELOCATION OF AN EXISTING TENNIS COURT AND APPROVING A REQUEST FOR SITE PLAN REVIEW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS TO REPLACE AN EXISTING SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN ZONING CASE NO. 505A. MR. JOHN Z. BLAZEVICH, 1 BUGGY WHIP DRIVE (LOT 176-A AND A PORTION OF LOT 176 -MS) Principal Planner Ungar presented the staff report outlining the applicants' request and Planning Commission action relative to Zoning Case No. 505A. Councilmember Lay expressed concern regarding the amount of grading for the proposed development and moved that the City Council take jurisdiction of Zoning Case No. 505A. Councilmember Murdock seconded the motion which carried unanimously. Hearing no objection, Mayor Heinsheimer ordered that Zoning Case No. 505A be scheduled for a Public Hearing on Monday, January 9, 1995. MATTERS FROM MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL • Mayor Heinsheimer thanked staff for their efforts in planning the annual Holiday Open House and Mayor Pro Tem Pernell offered thanks to Councilmember Frank Hill for the audio equipment which provided the Holiday music at the Open House. • Mayor Heinsheimer introduced a colleague from Moscow, Russia. ADTOURNMENT Hearing no further business before the City Council, Mayor Heinsheimer adjourned the meeting at 7:37 p.m., to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council scheduled for Monday, December 26, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills, California.
